In Manitoba, the agricultural sector makes up close to half of Manitoba’s total international exports

Agriculture continues to be a leading driver of related jobs in Manitoba and nationally as well. It’s estimated that nine jobs are created for every agricultural job. The federal government’s Barton Report released in 2017 highlighted the agriculture and food sector as a high potential sector for unleashing economic growth in the coming years.
