Cleanfarms recently announced proposed changes to its ag plastic recycling program in Manitoba. The changes would add an environmental handling fee to bale wrap, silage bags, silage bunker covers and tarps. Our comments highlighted the challenges with improving program uptake under increasing input costs. After industry feedback, Cleanfarms will no longer include the new materials for their stewardship program plan.
