Resolved, that KAP lobby the Government of Manitoba to lower the minimum distance for drain tile to the edge of a wetland to 9 meters that would allow for reclamation of the saline area without disturbing the wetland.
Update
KAP raised this issue with the Department of Environment and Climate Change. The department has concerns that lowering the current minimum distances would affect wetland water levels.
