Trade matters for Manitoba producers. In 2024, Manitoba trade comprised 45 percent of agricultural product, with the United States as our top agri-food trade partner.  KAP finished its Trade Action Plan and sent it to Premier Kinew for further discussion.

The plan outlines four key recommendations for the provincial government: (1) strengthen international engagement; (2) enhance domestic collaboration; (3) create an agricultural growth strategy; and (4) balance Manitoba’s diverse trade interests.
