Resolved, that KAP lobby the Government of Canada to eliminate the policy of ‘deeming fair market value’ for non-arm’s length family farm succession transactions; and be it further
Resolved, that KAP lobby the Government of Canada to expand current family farm succession provisions that would include other kin relations where a family farm working relationship can be proven; and be it further
Resolved, that KAP lobby the Government of Canada to ensure the capital gains exemption be intended for retiring or succeeding family farms.
