Resolved, that KAP lobby the Government of Canada to remove the escalator tax on alcohol in Canada.
Update
KAP met with Spirits Canada and forwarded the resolution to the CFA. . In early 2024, the federal government announced that the automatic annual inflation adjustment for excise duties on beer, spirits, and wine would be capped at 2% until April 1, 2026.
