Under the context of tariffs, KAP looked at specific regulatory changes that the provincial government could make that would benefit Manitoba producers. The recommendations focused on low-hanging fruit (i.e., change neither costly nor legislatively complex).

One example includes creating a single portal for oversized loads involving Manitoba Hydro infrastructure. Currently, farmers must apply to Manitoba Infrastructure and Manitoba Hydro before moving oversized loads. Additional recommendations touched on the Manitoba Building Code, service standards, off-road vehicle use, and propane inspections.
