Resolved, that KAP lobby Manitoba Public Insurance to prioritize testing appointments for people living in the region of the testing facility.
Update
KAP raised this issue with Manitoba Public Insurance. MPI implemented a rule effective April 1, 2024, that directly protects rural testing capacity for commercial drivers. All Winnipeg-based Mandatory Entry-Level Training students who reside in Winnipeg must take their Class 1 road test in Winnipeg. Driver testing wait times have decreased in subsequent years.
