The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is undertaking a multi-year review of the Seeds Act and Seeds Regulations. KAP has been part of this review process and sat as a member on the seed regulatory modernization working group.

The Seeds Acts protects the interests of both consumers and producers while ensuring high quality seed remains available.

KAP provided comments to the CFIA regarding a questionnaire it provided online.

Draft amendments to the Seeds Regulations are expected to be published in the Canada Gazette in 2025.
