For many years, KAP has advocated for pesticide spraying with drones. Other countries already permit such use (e.g., Japan and USA) leaving Canadian farmers at a disadvantage. The PMRA issued a regulatory proposal that would permit pesticide drone spraying if the product is already approved for aerial application. KAP provided comments to the PMRA supporting this proposal while offering insight into farmer scenarios that should be reflected in future policy.
