The 2026 FPT meeting took place in Halifax. During the meeting, ministers discussed current agricultural issues along with drafting the Next Policy Framework Statement—the Halifax Statement.

This statement will help shape the direction of the next policy framework for 2028 to 2033.  Our comments for the FPT meeting covered current issues such as labour, trade, BRM, and research and innovation.
