Resolved, that KAP lobby the Government of Manitoba to create long term funding for Mandatory Entry Level Training to assist agricultural workers in acquiring their Class 1 license.
Update
Manitoba’s one-time MELT Grant in 2021 covered up to two-thirds of tuition costs. The Canada-Manitoba Job Grant covers 75% of MELT training costs. Farmers are eligible for the job grant and applications open during the summer.
