Since MELT’s introduction, Manitoba farmers have had access to government funding. The Canada-Manitoba Job Grant provided this funding but no longer exists. Unfortunately, the replacement—the Building up Manitoba Program—does not cover MELT funding. To address this gap, KAP sent a letter to Minister Jamie Moses requesting that the department include MELT as an eligible course for the Building up Manitoba Program.
