The Winnipeg Metropolitan Region has drafted a long-term regional plan. This is an influential plan which will guide the development of Winnipeg and surrounding areas for years to come.

KAP believes there are parts of the draft Plan 20-50 which require amendments. This includes areas such as the environment, various definitions, map illustrations and community growth and development.

Given the scope and importance of Plan 20-50, KAP wrote a joint letter which included the signatures of 13 other agricultural organizations. KAP also organized a meeting with the Winnipeg Metropolitan Region and other agricultural groups to convey these concerns and have been working with Manitoba Agriculture to collaborate on suggested changes to the plan.
