Resolved, that KAP lobby the Government of Manitoba to ensure there is enough compensation in place to create an incentive for farmers to preserve endangered species on farmland in a timely manner.
The Manitoba Endangered Species and Ecosystems Act allows government to expropriate land under special circumstances to protect at risk species. KAP continues to advocate that sufficient compensation be provided for species-at-risk protection.
